Short version: we collect what you send us through a form, we use it to help you buy or sell a home, our brokerage is legally required to keep transaction records for at least three years, and we do not sell your information to anyone.
Who we are
The Mother Daughter Duo Real Estate Team is a team of licensed Kansas real estate salespersons affiliated with Platinum Realty, the supervising broker. Under Kansas law the broker — not the individual agent — is responsible for the conduct of the licensees and for the retention of transaction records, so Platinum Realty is a joint recipient of the information described below.

What we collect
- What you send us. Your name, email address, phone number, the property address you ask about, your timeline and budget, and anything you type into a message — via the contact form, a home valuation request, a showing request, the buyer's guide download or the newsletter signup.
- What we learn during a transaction. If you go on to work with us, that necessarily includes financial and identity information required to complete a real estate transaction — pre-approval letters, offers, disclosures and closing documents.
- Basic web analytics. Pages viewed, approximate location, referring site, browser and device.
How we use it
- To answer your enquiry and provide the service you asked for.
- To send listings, market updates or guides you specifically requested.
- To carry out and close a transaction you have engaged us for.
- To meet the record-keeping obligations Kansas places on our broker.
- To understand which parts of this website are useful.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not pass your details to lenders, title companies, inspectors or contractors without asking you first, and we do not accept referral fees for doing so.
How long we keep it
Kansas requires it. K.A.R. 86-3-10 obliges a supervising broker to retain, for at least three years, all records relating to the brokerage's real estate business — contracts, closing statements, escrow receipts and correspondence included. If you become a client, expect your transaction file to be retained for at least that long, and to be held by Platinum Realty rather than by us individually.
If you only ever sent us an enquiry and never became a client, ask us to delete it and we will.
Who else sees it
- Platinum Realty, as supervising broker.
- Service providers that help us operate — our email provider and form handler — and only to the extent needed to do that work.
- Transaction participants, where you have engaged us: the other side's brokerage, title company, lender and, where applicable, the MLS.
- Where the law requires it, including a Kansas Real Estate Commission audit or investigation.
Cookies and tracking
This site currently loads no third-party scripts and sets no advertising cookies. Our fonts are served from our own domain rather than Google's, so no request is made to a third party when you load a page. If analytics is enabled later, this section and the tool's name will be updated here first.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link in that email.
- Ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it.
- Ask us to delete it — subject to the three-year retention duty above, which we cannot waive for transaction records.
- Ask us to stop contacting you at any time.
A note on state privacy laws. Kansas has not enacted a comprehensive consumer data privacy statute, so most of the rights above are ones we extend by policy rather than ones Kansas compels. If you live in a state that does have such a law — California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut and others — tell us and we will honor the rights it gives you.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information and limit access to it. No system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security — please do not send bank details or a Social Security number through the website contact form.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we update this policy we will change the date at the top of this page.
